96 maxima cruise control cable

I am trying to identify which is the cruise control cable. there are two but which is which?

Go to the throttle body and rotate the pulleys. The one that can rotate without affecting the other is NOT the cruise cable. The cruise cable, when actuated, catches the foot pedal pulley and turns it as well, but the foot pedal pulley won't turn the cruise pulley. (I hope that makes sense...can't think of a very good way to describe it).

You can also trace the cables back from the throttle body. The cruise cable will go to an actuator on the driver side firewall.
