Go for a place racing style CAI if your going with a intake. Ebay has them for a great price. But don't be dissapointed when you find out it doesn't add any noticable power. Just sound.

Good mods. I would have to say-Y-pipe-STS, if 5speed. I highly recommend the B&M so worth the money.-Suspension work is always a good area-00vi.

Good tires can make ALL the difference.

Computer mods aren't going to be worth the money unless you're using them to support more serious mods. With a stock engine, computer mods can only extract limited gains.

sts? b&m? 00vi?? i don't know what those are but i have a full exhaust and im not getting enough air in compared to what is able to go out so i need an intake. i don't expect a big gain cause they do nothing unless u tune ur motor. the lean ur A/F ratio..I am gonna get a computer and other mods i just need some good places to look. and it is indeed a 5 speed

ebay headers and y-pipe for 230 has been excellent incase anyone wants to look them up.. DEFINITELY worth the money.

OH and good tires are always a must minister.

im spitting out lots of gas too.. anyone know if msd can be fitted to a 96 maxima?

sts means short throw shifter. Or Seville Touring Sedan. B&M is a brand of short throw shfiter.

00vi is the variable intake manifold from the 2000 Maxima.

oh and for suspension.. um suggestions. i like driving a corner hard but i don't do it as much anymore. im a family man now. what is out there that doesn't compromise ride comfort much?

OK so i just looked it up. apparently that's the main reason the 2000 models got more hp. so my next question is.. does it bolt up the same way or are there minor mods that need to be done?

also with a full exhaust system. is this gonna bring too much air into my motor? i don't want to run too lean and lose hp. im sure a reprogram would fix this. is jet a good choice?
