I can hear the fuel pump start, injectors fire, has spark, the engine turns over, but the engine wont fire, I live in Chicago and we have been hit with temps of -5 and -20 with the wind chill, the car was parked outside, I started the car fine yesterday and today this happened, I have moved the car into my garage and heated it up to about 60 degrees and after 6 hours the problem still persists, and help would be appreciated

UPDATE: i went into my garage, the engine turned over 6 times and started up, it ran for 30 mins and i turned off and turned it back on several times and there is nothing wrong, anyone knows what could have been wrong?

Im no expert but im south of chicago and have been having trouble starting my car in the cold . it would turn over fire and start and immediatly die . unless i hit the gas at the right time to be able to force it to run hard to warm up ... well my and my bro got to looking around and the water temp sensor had a broken wire . fixed that and had no more problems starting . obviously yer prob sounds like a cold start issue so maybe check that sensor out . sensor was on or very near (maybe on head ) the intake manifold. hope this can help ya . good luck!

Wasn't it also recently warm out there? How much fuel have you kept in the tank? A rapid change from warm to cold will introduce condensation in a nearly empty tank. Try some drygas next time it's running.

i kinda have the same problem too. make sure that the inside of your trunk and in the spare tire well is dry. also try covering the top of the fuel pump cover with a dry towel for insulation. never have the same problem again.
