96 ka24de a/c problem

ok i did some searching and came up with nothing so im going to ask if anyone has had a similar problem or knows what may be causing this to happen. heres the problem : i just fixed my a/c,i just had to replace a hose that had snapped off, it worked fine for about a week but now when i start the car it comes on and blows cold but after i drive for a while the air becomes warmer and eventually its like its not on, my father is a mechanic he charged the a/c and has told me that its has freon in it and that the compressor is cycling properly and suggested that it may be a pressure switch but he is not positive so im just looking for any info you guys may have for me thanks in advance
