96 ka into a 93 coupe??

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

So........ im swaping out the motor on my 93 coupe because i bent a rod. i just finished buying another KA but it came off of a 96. I know there are a couple of things i gotta swap off the new block to fit and plug into my s13 harness.

does anyone know exactly what i need to replace ????

off the top i know i have to replace:

manifolda/c compressordistributor (not sure)

if anyone has done this befor please indulge me with your knowledge . thanks lol

Im doing the exact same swap right now(well almost) I swaped a 95 ka into a 91 hatch using the engine,transmission,ecu, and upper wiring harness from the 95. The engine will turn over but it wont start (no fuel or spark). I think i need an s13 ecu,wiring harness, and intake mani. But Im not sure

yea i still havent started putting it in. im useing my stock engine harness and ecu and gonna swap the parts off my old block so it plugs in normal but im not too sure exactly what i need to replace.

i know its been a while but i was wondering if you guys got your swaps running. i just recently did the same thing and i cant get my tach or my temp gauge to work.

lol me two i was gonna make a post today but it seems a lot of us are in the same boat. I spun a bearing in my 91 coupe, and im gonna be building a 95ka for turbo set up, but im not sure as to how the whole wiring thing is gonna work out. I've been doing some searching and a lot of people seem to have this wiring issue

hey what up fellas im new on this site and im actully doing the same swap. I own an 89 coupe with a 92 dohc. radiator popped off then over heated cause my temp gauge wa s out. but now i have this 95 dohc, harness and ecu. But the exhaust mani. doest match or the oil dipstick tube.lol. my first swap was a success now i think this swap might be a problem. i might have to purchase a fuse box for engine. let me in on the info you fellas find thanks and sorry the incorrect spelling.

To make it work right used the intake manifold from the car you will also need the switchover the 2 control valves , they bolt to the back of the head be sure not to get the vacuum hoses confused. You will also need to change out your distributor.and to be quite honest while you have the distributor out if it were my car I would pull the upper front cover off and do the upgrade that Nissan has for the timing chain basically all you're doing is removing the too small timing chain guides that bolt to the head but be sure that leaves the timing chain tensioner in place, not only will this make your car quieter I have seen several instances where there guides broke off and did some serious damage to the motor
