96 J30 - Clunking in front right.

I've got a 1996 J30 with about 172k miles on it.When turning the wheel to the right at very low speed (i.e. backing out of the driveway) there is a clunk/pop sound from the front right wheel well.The sound also occurs at most speeds when the brakes are applied. I can press the brakes, let off and press them again, and the sound will happen each time the brakes are pressed.

So, like the sticky above requests, how about a little maintenance history?

If the same suspension design as the Z32 and G50, I would look at tension rod bushings and upper llinks.

Sorry about lack of maintenance history, I've only had the car a few weeks.I have the full service history, just not with me (Primarily online at school, no internet at home)

Sounds strut related.. my 240 did the same thing. Pop your hood and rock the car back and forth. If you hear the popping sound then most likely its a bad strut.

Addition:Front rotors are a little warped, so slight vibration under light braking. The clunking is in sync with the rotors (ie, it clunks/ticks at the same rate as the vibration from the rotors)
