I lost my previous username/password.. thats another story

I have to make a choice either A fix/replace engine and transmission or B sell the car.

The car outside of the engine+trans are in great condition. I have been trying to locate a good engine+trans to replace it with and came here to see if anyone had any opinions or the parts to do it.

I got an engine and a lsd trans from www.lkqcorp.com a few years ago for my 97. Cost me about $1250 and I did the install myself over a weekend. Got a 6 month warranty on both engine and trans. They have about 35,000 miles on them since the install. If you go that route, I would recommend using the sensors from your current engine/trans.

That's a good site, 'max.' It's user friendly and they have facilities in NorCal

I've been really happy with how my swap turned out. Most salvage yards only offer a 30 day warranty, so it's nice to find a salvage company that gets stuff they're willing to stand behind(my engine/trans had 65000 miles), and has nationwide distribution.
