96 i30t 5 speed error code P0705

error code p0705. this is a5 speed manual trans, car has about 171 k. is this a sensor on transmission and where is it. i could not find lisiting of what code meant only a lisiting of codes. is there a break down of these codes and where is it on sitethanks Bill

According to the FSM, the P0705 is the Neutral Inhibitor Switch. It is a circular shaped sensor that is located on the bottom driver side of the transmission. It is held in by 1 bolt. Be sure to drain your trans fluid before removal. The electrical connector for the sensor is locate on the top side of the trans toward the firewall.
