if youre talking about the vents above the radio then all u have to do is use like a flatscrewdriver and pop it out. to be safe maybe use a cloth around the screwdriver or something like that to prevent scratching.

Yeah you just use a cloth and a screwdriver, At least thats how it was on my 99. You then have to remove the ashtray area by the same method, this piece goes all the way back to surround the shifter. These pieces just snap back in after, its a little nerve racking to do, just take your time and slowly pop it out. It may be easiest to unclip the connectors on the clock and two switches and completely remove the vent assembly and the ashtray assembly.

There are screws located on the top and the bottom of the "Stack" holding both the HVAC controls and the radio. You need to remove these screws to remove the entire radio unit.

Goodluck! Make sure to use a cloth so you don't scratch up your dash.

Thanks for the reply.

But i am a bit nervous to do that, so I sent it to a mechanic who removed it in 30 seconds.

you sent it to a mechanic who did just what they suggested. My normal method is just grabbing the fins of the vent and tugging up and out. Takes a little bit of wiggling but it's pretty easy.

I tried to use a screw driver but could not make it, this is because I never know how the vents unit is fixed into the dash.

The mechanic used a screw driver and a small flat shavol to help. The job was done quickly, he did not even charge me.
