So here is my delema.

When the car is cold in the winter i have to give it gas to start it or it just does out. once the idel levels out like 2 sec it is fine.

and now resently the car had been dieing out at stop lights.

the car does have a slight exhaust leak at the flex joint. could that be the problem hitting the os with cold air.

all the research i have done point me to the MAF or the IAC/AAC valve.

what do you think it might be.

the car is a 1996 i30 with about 185,000 miles there are no trouble codes in the computer.

thanksMike

I would definitely start with cleaning the IACV.

Put a patch on the pipe to rule out O2 sensor problem for the time being
