'96 Hardbody Speedo?

My speedometer quit working and the check engine light came on at the same time. The code indicated speed sensor indicator problem. I understand it is more often the speedometer itself, I decided to take out the instrument cluster. There are 2 screws at the top of the surround, but I can't figure out how to get the bottom of the surround to come loose. Anybody have any suggestions on how to get to the instruments? Thanks!!
