The brake lights on my 96 hardbody stay on. Truck is off, lights are off , pumped brake pedal,
lights still on. I disconnected the battery and have it on the charger. Tomorrow I am going to
check the fuses but I have no idea what to check after that.
Where is the brake light switch?

2 wd,4 cyl, auto, power brakes

Thanks for the help.

The plastic button attached to the brake pedal arm popped out. This plastic button is supposed to press the brake switch when you release the brakes. Look under the dash and watch the pedal move. You will see the end of the switch isn't being pressed. Use a small bolt, washer and lock nut to fix the problem.

Looks like you called it right. There is a small chunk of plastic on the floor mat.
Should be an easy Sunday fix..
THANKS
