96 hardbody 2.4 loss of power and slight knock

i got a 96 hardbody that had a real bad knock. i took a look and it sounded like the lifters were collapsed. sure enough i popped the valve cover and they were. i tossed new rockers in and it about took care of it, after i tossed them in and let it run for a while and i noticed it was overheating. i tryed moving it and it barely had enough power to get out of my girage. im gonna try a thermostat tomorow but im out of ideas about whats robbing the power. any advice on where to go next would be great.

There coolant in the radiator?

say what? rockers on a ka24de???last i checked they were direct cam to valve (inverted buckets).

what is your oil pressure at hot idle?did you disturb the camshaft timing?
