96 g20 window not rolling up. Any chance fixing it?

Hello this is my first time posting here and my first time working on my 1996 g20. Here is my problem. My driver side window is stuck down and I can pull it up on the high point of the window a little but the low part doesn't seem to budge. I tried lifting it and playing with the switch, and it won't roll the window up but it will roll the window down. Is there any chance of me fixing this or do I need to get a new part?

So I'm guessing this was a dumb question since no one responded. I wasn't aware that the window regular included the motor. Is that the problem in my situation? And if so how do I install a new one?

Either the motor is bad or the rails/guides might have come loose and are binding. Best thing to do is take off the door panel and check for loose parts etc. If everything looks tight and the glass doesn't rock back fourth from front to back, I would guess the regulator motor. You can check out the factory service manual for tips on removal and diagnostics if you need more detail. If you do not have one, you can find a link to our library in my signature.

ok so i took another look at it and im really unsure on how to take the panel itself off. how do i do that? from what i saw i looked down and it looked like the window was off track, so i messed with it for an hour, finally got it back into the little rubber thing where its supposed to slide, and i was proud of myself for fixing it lol. but it wasnt fixed... i press the button and it sounds like the motor is running but none of those little wires are moving to actually lift the window up.

Anyway, im going to just go ahead and order the window regulator. Will you please, please help me find some guide to replacing this part? I would really appreciate it.

Im just not understanding what i have to do to get the old regulator out... So i take off those 4 bolts, and disconnect the power to the old motor, and then do i just pull it out with the window?

Typically you disconnect the motor from the window. You can then slide both out if need be. Once you pop the panel off, you'll see where everything connects. It's relatively simple. I've done it to a few cars.

so the little plastic parts that hold the window onto the rail i disconnect and then i can pull each of them out one by one? and then put the new one in and im good? hopefully... lol
