A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I am planning to buy a 1996 G20 with 115K miles for $3300. I think it is in good condition, according to KBB.com. KBB suggests fair condition for $3200. Is it a good deal? What should I look after when doing the check out? I guess it uses timing chain and I would not need to worry about getting timing belt changed, right?

Well, take a look at it. Is it dealer or private party? Is the value you quoted from kbb dealer or priate party? It is a timing chain, but the accesory belt is still a worry (and not fun to replace but no experience at it.) As for things to look for, does everything work (power options, cruise, AC, heat). Also, make sure all the blower speeds work, it's a $15 dollar part to replace but it's just a PITA more than a huge prblem really. If it's auto (well no help there) but if it's a stick car then make sure all the gears work correctly and no 5th gear popout (usually only a problem with the pre 93.5).
