My 96 Altima has stalled a few times and the engine light came on. I got the code for the light and it is P0500. that is the only code that showed. It says its for the vehicle speed sensor. The spedomidor works sometimes. when the car stalled I had to wait a while before it would start. It seems like the car is running hot but the gage is normal. It also studders a little sometimes. Could it be something besides the speed sensor?

Is there a specific reason why you're asking? Don't you want to replace the speed sensor or do you suspect it may be something else?

Sorry, Yes i replaced the speed sensor and it is still studdering and dieing on me so I suspect its something else. any ideas?

after i changed the speed sensor nothing changed it is still doing everything it was before
