Are you sure the windshields are in fact different? I would think they are the same.

FW00630 Windshield (31.00x59.00) is the coupe
FW00730 Windshield (31.50x60.00) is the convertible
So 1/2 inch on the length and 1 inch difference on width...You may be able to cheat on 1/2 inch but not 1 inch on the sides !!!!

Yea, they are definitely different. Might just have to find a donor car in a junk yard. I just needed a 2+0 door passenger glass, but got lucky that someone in town sold me an entire door for $50, lol

This has been a concern of mine as well. My understanding is that in spite of the differences in size the current solution to the issue is to install a coupe windshield and liberal amount of sealant. This info comes from a long running thread here as well as second hand info from one of the local vert owners. I have also read that the 2+2 window is the same, but supposedly even more rare.

I can locate the coupe shield and have read on some forums that it will work but then I have also read that it will not. I found a used convert shield but it is way to far away to take a chance and basically it would cost more for freight than for the shield. I am thinking I will try a coupe and see how much difference in size there actually is. Will keep you updated. Thank you

Please do. My windshield is intact but fairly pitted from age, so knowing would be good.

It takes a little work on the tech's part but the coupe windshield will work. Several local guys have done it, not like there is any other choice with the vert windshield discontinued.
