96 240sx won't go past 3000rpms

recently my maf's harness wire got caught in the fan and got ripped off and in the process of the fan harness got ripped off too, so i found the plug to the fan and maf and we wired them back together, now the car stutters and won't let me go past 3000rpms do you think the wires are bad or what

Yeah man, try cutting the wires farther back from where they were damaged, and re-wiring.
