96 240sx turn signals

Ive checked all fuses and all are fine mecanic said it could be the light switch assembly on the steering column? But a friend has the same problem and changed out the switch with no affect. Is there any thing else we could try?

All the other lights work just no turn signals or hazards!

Moved to the correct forum.
If the turn signals AND the hazards don't work, why would it be just the hazard switch?
Did someone play a trick on you and remove all your bulbs?

no bulbs are there and good, also my gauge lights (the ones that illuminate the dash when you turn on your headlights) dont work, after some research i found some guys were having problems with the gauge lights after a radio instal, which mine looks like it had a hack job. but could that have caused the turn/hazzard light issue as well? or do i have two unrelated problems?

It's probably the hazard switch. Anything that goes through the hazard switch will stop working if the switch is unplugged or bad.

This also happened to my car a few months back and for me the previous owner wired the corner lamps to blink with the turn signals so it may be faulty wiring or a bad flasher relay.

thanks i found that the previous owner cut a wire going to the hazzard switch, while installing a radio!
