96 240SX turn signals and rear lights dont work. brake lights do work

hi guys. finally got this car almost 100%. checked all the fuses with a test light under hte hood and in the driver kick panel. every thing works on the car except when you turn the lights on the rear lights dont come on and the turn signal works never. rear brakelights do work. when you turn the parking lights on the front corners do light up. there is no clicking when you turn the signal stalk up or down. i went and unplugged the rear lighting harness and when you turn the headlights on it gets no signal, and same with turn signal so i know its not the bulbs,. but hte rear harness gets signal when you press down the brakes. any clues guys? is there a specific relay i should be changing?

Try a new Combo Light Switch. Should fix it.

i searched and couldnt find much about hte combo light switch. is that the switch at the bottom of the turn signal stalk?

Combo switch is the lighting stalk. Meaning the stalk on the left side of the steering wheel that you use to turn the lights on and off and also blinker switch.

ok went to a junkyard and got a combo light stalk. changed it out and no change. turn signals gone. rear running lights gone. but brakelights and headlights work. there is no clicking noise or anything when you turn the turn signals on. any help is greatly appreciated. i checked with a circuit tester the harness that goes to the rear lights and there is no signal being sent to it when i turn the turn signals or headlights on. only when i step on hte brake is there a signal being sent to it.
