Hiya guys...since my oem strut is busted, I am going to change those out with AGX. Now here is my question.

Has anyone gone with Tein S-tech springs? How is the ride? How much clearance from ground up to lowest part of the car?

Bear in mind I live in NYC with miles and miles of potholes and speed bumb on the road, and I am planning to build this car for drifting later also.

I got a guy to do the AGX and GReddy Strut bar for $250 bucks, so I was thinking might as well get the springs done too.

If your looking to seriously drift your car you will not be happy with the agx and s-tech setup. It will not be stiff enough and the added stress from sliding will wear out the agx's pretty quick. If your going to drift id save up for a set of megan coils. For the price they do the job and are good coils to daily drive. If you can afford it a setup of silkroads, tein drift spec coils, power by max coilover, or the higher model of stance coilover will do the job just fine.

The AGX/s-tech combo was GREAT on my S13, comfy as hell but w/out the "floating" feeling of OEM stuff. If you are just gonna be hitting an occasional event here and there they're fine.

As far as lowering goes don't expect anything drastic, it's just enough to get rid of the ridiculous gap the cars have stock. like 2inches maybe?

i love'em on my S13, and both friends with S14's have'em aswell.

the lowering makes the cars sit pretty good, it almost eliminates wheel gap, and the car handles great with them.

if you just don't have the money for coils, then i'd get this setup, or agx with ground control springs if you want to change height whenever ya want(i believe they're adjustable)

they're not as stiff as coils, but it can get pretty stiff if on highest settings(you can pretty much feel everything on the road)

Thx for the input guys. The price for S-tech is around $250, so I guess I would just save it for a Megan coilover. Since I couldn't afford any coil, I guess replacing the strut is the only choice now.

My perfect rear fender was dented after I rolled over a speed bump. The car feels like I'm riding on springs only.
