I have a competition clutch (stage 2 disc with a stage 4 pressure plate) that i just put in. it gribs hard but after a good usage it over heats and starts slipping. i know i didnt put any oil on the disc and there is no oil coming from th rear main seal since i replaced it. only thing i can think of is the pedal itself. my clutch catches ALL the way to the top and i have to press only like half an inch to engage it. as if it only presses the clutch just enough to use but with more usafge (like drift events) it begins to slip. how can i change that? i read adjust it...but do i move the rod that comes out of the clutch master cylinder or just the little u think that connects to the pedal. if i mess with the pedal this will just move the pedal itself and not how much the rod pushes in the clutch master cylinder?(man, i think i just lost everyone, LOL)

Here's how to check the clutch pedal free play:It should be 9 - 16 mm (0.35 - 0.63 in). Hold a ruler against the floor and up to the top of the pedal pad. Take a reading on the ruler at the pedal pad in the resting position. Now push on the pedal pad very gently until resistance is felt; at this point take the new reading on the ruler. Subtracting the two readings will give you the free play spec. To adjust the clutch pedal free play, adjust the pushrod for the clutch master cylinder which is located under the dash at the top of the pedal assembly. The pushrod has a locknut which must be loosened. Now the pushrod can be adjusted.
