96 240sx, Engine LT on AND strong gas smell

Yes just yesterday the car's engine light went on and since then it's being on. And I also realize a very strong gas smell in the car everytime I enters. What might possibily be? Thanks a bunch for your helps.

Hmm came out 33- exhaust o2 sensor circuit... Does this mean bad o2 sensor can there be other possibilities? My friend smelled my car today and he told me it's the transmission smell, my center console has not being sealed (did a clutch job just recently).

Fuel doesn't smell very similar to anything related to your transmission. If you smell fuel, I'd say you're smelling your excessively rich exhaust due to a faulty o2 sensor. Go around to your tailpipe and sniff. You'll probably smell the same smell. Make sure your o2 sensor is actually plugged in, and if it is, replace it as it is more than likely bad.
