Newbie here,I have a completely stock '96 4-114.3 lug 240sx. There isn't a lot of 4-lug options and I was just about to order some rims and tires from TheTireRack.com until I started reading this forum. The rims I almost ordered were 18"x7.5" +40 offset. From everything I am reading, THAT WIDTH AND OFFSET SUCK!?

I know how offset relates to rims, but I don't know what will fit my stock setup? I just want some 18" rims that will look good, and fit my stock setup with no additional supspension mods, maybe that isn't possible. I don't race the car, I don't care if the tire is super wide or not, and the car is an everyday driver and not looking to put a ton of money into it.

What is the widest, biggest rim with what offset can I fit on a completely stock '96 240sx that will look the best with no additional supspension mods? Do spacers help with crappy offsets?

I really want the Konig Hotswap 18x7.5 but the offset is +45 and that won't fit my car.....Could I use spacers to fit these rims?

Please help, my old tires are chewed up and want to get rims and tires right away.......

18x7.5 +40ish should fit stock suspension just dandy. It will just look gross to most ppl.

Widest you can fit? You should try searching - this has been answered soooo much.

But in any case, here's a good starting point:

Think somewhere around 17x9+20 -> +15. That will give you decent conservative fitment. On S14, you should even need to stretch the tires.

Other things come into play: camber, ride height, how much you are willing to pull your fenders, etc. Above is a good starting point.

Get ready... set... SEARCH!

Been doing lots of searching, and know what I can fit now.....But I have been looking all over wheel websites trying to find 4 lug wheels with 20-ish offset....It just ain't happening....Does anyone know of some 4-lug 18" or 17" wheels with 20-ish offset? I can't find any at all...its like they are all damn 40-ish or more......

Oh ya, I read on the Wheel FAQ that the stock offset is 40mm for the S14 SE 16" wheels... But is the offset also 40mm for the 15"x6" rims because it really doesn't say? Then I will know for sure what my options are.

This website has inspired me to throw some money at my 240sx after 10 long years....bought the car new in 1996 and I've put all 80,000 miles on it. 10 years ago, I put in K&N air filter, Hotshot headers, and GReddy 4" Power Extreme exhaust........All still working great and its time I dress the car up a little....

offset for the 15x6 is the same.

Of course, your selection will be limited w/ 4 lug rims, that's why people upgrade to 5 lug.

In any case... If you searched a little harder just browsing this and "the other forum", you'd find these :

used 4 lug wheels - usually has quite a selection ranging:http://www.rbmotoring.comhttp://www.the ... choice.com

People have been selling their Grenade GX-01 (17x9+20 & 18x9+20), r34 (i think r34, one of the skylines) rim look alikes, on the forums used.

new 4 lug wheels w/ 17/18 x9 +20ish:http://www.splparts.com - they are actually doing a gb for 4-lug 17x9+20 FN's (played out wheels, but not played out sizing)

There was/maybe still is one vendor on the forums doing a GB on MB Weapons, pretty sure it was for 4 lug - 17x9.5 +15, I believe - you can get these all day long, just gotta search for them, sometimes called Atech Weapon, etc.

Eeewww, but there's also the line of SportMaxx or whatever rims that a lot of members like. They are cheap, have wide wheels.

There's others out there, but you'd have to special order - just look through our sponsors sites.
