Hello everyone, I am a newbie here and i already need your help, I have a 1995 infiniti q45t, here are the current symptoms, car vibrates and shakes at idle, white smoke is comming out of the exaust and it smells alot like gas, the oil smells alot like gas when I checked it, when I drive it at high higher speed it stops smoking but at idle it smokes alot, also the gas gauge went down real quick like if it was losing fuel fast, I am almost positive it's not an engine problem because there is no knocking or clicking noises it also still feels powerful when I floor it, I replaced the spark plugs and oil and oil filter and thought that would be the problem but it wasn't, please help me out. :ohno:

MAF or its connector is another choice.

I was trying to disconnect my mass air flow plug to see if it was the mass airflow but I can't figure out how to remove it and I don't want to risk breaking it

The MAF plug has a common nissan retainer clip on it that must be pulled outwards at both sides of the plug in order for you to slide the plug off the MAF connector. It's quite simple to do, once you get the hang of it.
You might also have a leaking or stuck injector that's dumping gas into your oil pan.

A bad MAF or loose MAF connector wouldn't dump fuel into the crankcase. Chances are high that one of the lower injector o-rings has sprung a leak. Be careful about running the engine. If the leak gets worse it could hydrolock and break a rod/piston/valves.

Have you replaced any injectors recently? If not, it's time to pull spark plugs to figure out which cylinder is leaking.

Thanks guys, thats what i was thinking too that it was probably an injector, no I have never replaced any injectors, I actually found this guy today parting out his 1994 q45 great shape, he said his oil pump gave out, I am just waiting for him to call me back, but when I talked with him earlier I told him I would buy all of them, he also has stock all black leather and carpet interior with no cracks, I think I might grab those also, also I have the car parked so I will not drive it until it is fixed, well I will let you guys know soon as I get it fixed, thanks again.

Oil pumps don't give out! But owners and incompetent mechanics do cause oil pressure or volume failures.

Failure to change oil every 90 days is the most common reason, rarely during a front main seal replacement do technicans fail to tighten bolt to oem 270 lb/ft spec.

99% of distressed owners fail to pay for an accurate scientific AUTOPSY..........if only mechanical abuse was a real crime.
