On the newly purchased TT my wife has purchased there isn't a CD player. It does have the stock Bose system, but an open bay below. Can anyone tell me where we could find one that will fit and will not require dash modifications? We are going to try to keep this vehicle stock as possible.

You can have my OEM one if you want it... I don't know if it works or not, though, as it was already disconnected when I bought my car, and my harness is hacked, so I can't just swap plugs and check it.... I could seriously punch the person that swapped my radio in the throat. But anyways, I bought the DIN pocket a while back from Anton (I think... right?), so my old CD player is just sitting around.

Thank you for the offer. How much do you want for it? My wife will also check with her mechanic when we bring it into him.

I'll check back with you once my wife brings the car over to Doug's to see what else, if anything, needs to be done. Much appreciated!

No Aaron it wasn't from me, I still have both of mine.

Bob, let us know if you are missing stuff. I have a 93 that I'm parting out right now which shares a lot of the same parts and my interior is spotless for the most part.

Hi there Bob,

I may have met you and your wife at Doug's a week or two ago. I was there talking with Eric when you showed up. Glad to hear you guys found a car for your wife.

CD players....I got a few laying around brand new and used. Some are just for spare parts. I'm not sure whether I'm ready to part with one at this time though. LOL.

If you guys ever have any questions etc I'd be happy to help, from one local Z32 owner to another.

We had a feeling you were on this forum. Its a wealth of information.

As for the CD player, we're not sure yet if we need it. The car will be here tomorrow. We found it at a high end luxury car dealership in Laguna Beach. from the pictures, its pretty incredible. Crossing our fingers however.

Just got the car registered here in Washington and got the transponder. Here's the quandary...It doesn't have a front license plate bracket so we're trying to figure out what we need. Any suggestions? We are going to stop by Doug's tomorrow for a quick once over, and will have him do a full inspection next week.

I posted several pictures of the car on this forum, and will post more once we take ownership.

Good to hear from you and I'm sure we will be in touch. I think you will be impressed with what we found.

Is Doug back? Last week he was still gone as he extended his vacation but he might be back by now. I'm planning on dropping by his place tomorrow anyway to see Erik but not sure what time yet.

If you want a license place bracket they are easy to install.

Not sure if he is back yet. Our appoint with him is next Monday. We will probably drop by to see Eric tomorrow hopefully before noon, depending when the car comes in.

On the license bracket, do you know if you have to drill holes in the bumper or are there designated points where you attache it?

Also, we just ordered two new OEM door/alarm remotes. Any idea on how to program them? We checked with a Nissan dealership and they want to charge $65 each.

Hope to see you tomorrow.

Bob and Laurie

The bumper already has the pre-drilled holes...however if the bracket retainers are not still on the bumper cover you may need them as well.

I do know how to program a new keyfob. I'll print out some instructions for you and leave them at the shop for you. If you can't get it to work I'm sure Erik can. I'll swing by around noon today.

Thanks for the update. Laurie just ordered the license plate frame. Could you tell if the brackets you mentioned were on the car? We researched the car records and it looks like Doug will be doing the 120,000 service. It will be a piece of mind. More than likely we will change the loud pipes too.

Also, we just went over to Discount Tire and ordered Michilen performance tires. I'm sure they will make a difference.

Haha, I had a plate bracket hanging around too. Somewhere... Mine came with it because California. After I took it off and changed to TN tags, I got pulled over all the time. They thought they were gonna have a field day with me because I was in a low-slung sports car with no front plate. I then asked them where I could get a front plate, and they responded "the DMV." I kindly informed them that even if I wanted one, which I didn't, that TN does not issue front plates under any circumstances, and I would not be registering my car for $175 in CA, while TN only cost $35. They didn't like that, but had nothing else to pin on me.
