I am going to check one of these trucks out. Never driven a V6 2wd auto before. I know they are a bit rarer but the question is...will I like it? Does the 2wd transmission know what to do or does it flip flop between gears? Will it be able to tow a trailer with my other 95 Hardbody on it? I prefer stick so I am not totally sold on the auto. But as a DD that must trek 80 miles a day rain or shine will auto be more comfortable?

Thoughts on this machine?

I drove one yrs ago was a buddies, he was doing body work on my hard body and loaned me his it drove and shifted fine, I am still hunting my perfect v6 5 speed king cab, I want it so bad. HP wise not a lot more but has more torque so it ha to tow better than the KA 4 cyl. The only problem i remember on my buddies was front end has shimmy due to out of balance tires at 65mph but other than that was normal.

I drove it, it's not prefect but I liked it. I think I might buy. The headliner needs help in a bad way but I couldn't argue how smooth the engine ran and how low the mileage is, 100k. It spent most of its life in Florida and it shows. It has it's dings from being used as a truck but that's just what I am buying it for, to use as a truck. The VG30 has some nice power. The only things wrong are the coolant temp gauge doesn't work, sensor? Also the CC doesn't kick on, it lights but the steering controls do nothing. Other than that the truck is straight.

Most of those may be easy fixes, how much are they asking? I know a old man here with later 90's se v6 king cab black like mine I want it so bad i think his is auto. it has to be low milage all it does is sit in his driveway 99% of the time. I am not even sure what he would take and I am thinking of knocking on his door and see if he may want to sell. I got mine so cheap I know I will have to pay much more for the V6 than the 4 banger.
