I drove this truck into the shop, it ran fine, installed new tranni., still ran fine. Did some welding to the exhaust, disconnected Neg. cable at battery, nothing I haven't done before, except this time the truck doesn't want to run. I smell alot of gas, injectors are pulsing with noid lights, I have spark and plenty of air. Now the big question, is the computer supposed to blink the red and green LED's at the same time. According to the manual they should blink seperatly, Red is for 10 and greens is for 1. (ex. 3 red blinks and 5 green blinks would be code 35.) Any ideas, am I missing something here. I'm not one to just install a part because I THINK it's bad. I already did a search for a computer just in case and it's not looking good, the junk yards want some number off the computer and it's not the actual Nissan part #. It's a 95 with the 3.0 auto, 4x4 king cab. Of course Nissan wants over $700 for something that's been sitting on the shelf for years and will continue to do so.

My buddy had some welding done recently. The shop siphoned his gas to reduce the risk of explosion (stupid I know, thats what the shop said), gave him back his car without putting gas back in. He got about 3 blocks. His gas gauge didnt work.

If its an early 95 then it could be the cylinder head temp sensor. The issues sound almost identical to what all early vg's do when the CHTS goes bad. peace.

are you sure your doing the diagnostics correctly? it will only blink seperatly in mode 3. i think there are 5 modes. at least thats how its done on my 4cyl.
