Go to a Nissan dealership. Get bumper, bumper support, fenders, headlights, hood, and some other ****.

I did the front end conversion on my car and you need practically everything. Here is a write-up I made, along with a list of OEM parts needed (or suggested). E-mail me ([email protected]) or AIM me at SimpleS14 if you need anymore help.

Yes, everything was new at wholesale price from a dealership. It was the only way I could go to get my car on the road ASAP.

True, but I would have to wait for parts and I didn't have that kind of time on my hands. Plus the labor would be something left for a body shop to do.....thus I would have to spend more money. Since I did this conversion on my own I saved on labor and only paid a body shop for paint. Also if anything happens I can get a replacement part within 3 days. Actually someone did a hit and run on my car and I had to get a new 97-98 fender (which came in 3 days). I also like the fact that I have METAL fenders.

Very nice. I was thinking of doing this same thing when I had some free cash. By the way.

If anyone is doing an S15 conversion that has the S14 Kouki front end TELL ME. I will buy it off you if you wanna give a good deal.

You can, but its going to take along time to find them (unless you browse many many forums). Remember that the 97-98 240SX is uber rare in the states.

because all the labor was done by ME :D

Actually I have to recoat the whole car since my front end looks brand spanking new, while the rest of my car is showing its age. :(

I could have done that by fixing the fckeud up suspension and using the rest of the money towards performance. But I rather not drive around in a fast car that looks like siht and will NEVER pass safety inspections (something we have in VA). The money was from the insurance and since the car is under my dads name he happened to be greedy with it....so I had to convince him some how to get me to do the conversion. So basically.....I took up the chance to get the conversion with no cost from me. :D

BTW...I did a cheap mod and painted my headlights/corners black...

Thank you. :) Once I get an aftermarket (or JDM) bumper I will edit the write-up, since you have to do mods to the reinforcement to get the bumper to fit.

Why not get the side skirts that are also on the Kouki cars? Is the bottom of your bumper even with your rocker panels??

I have the side skirts....just too lazy to put them on right now. :pface The front bumper is not even with the side skirts. I really HATE the USDM bumper because it slopes upward really bad. It makes my car look like a 4 runner in the front.

When you do, I suggest you work on the rest of the body as while. Meaning you should get sideskirts, rear, and maybe a spoiler. If you get the USDM bumper....well...atleast get the front lip. I found it for $275 shipped BRAND NEW at: http://www.nissan-auto-parts-dealer.com/

I think the kouki front end looks just fine stock but with the oem sideskirts and rear spoiler. At least thats what my freinds 98 has and i think it looks flat out sexy.

no you can't...trust me....it looks like ****!

I can't find my pic anywhere...but I played around with my front end mixing up pieces. Anyways...the 97-98 front end sticks out more and is wider upfront. That means the hood is longer and wider...so you can never close it if your using 95-96 fenders. The placement of the bumper will be off as while, and your headlights will not mate up properly.

so basically.....don't even think about trying it
