i've decided to sell my 300zx... and... Just like every other guy out there of course i have my eyeballs fixated on a skyline. I was interested in this SKYLINE GTS25T for USD 5,158$, but it being a 95 exiles that dream because of the 96-98 cut off:( so now I've got them glued to this at the moment, a 97 SKYLINE GTR for USD 9,421$ (ocean shipping included) with 86638 km on it.Car has BOTH Driver & Passenger side Air Bags...

any thoughts from all yo current owners if this is worth it... how much can i look to spend just to get it legit... I don't want this being a gray market car ya know... i look over my shoulder enough the way it is...

A 1997 GT-R for that price sounds like it has either been beat to sh.t or is a scam. Most R33's sell for between $10k-$20K over here, in decent condtion. I'd be leary of it unless it's on U.S. soil.

And even though it is a year for eligble import, be sure that all the modifications can be done. You need to get the ECU to be OBD II compatible, and to the best of my knowledge, it hasn't been done yet. Plus, you are going to pay more than what you paid for the car to get it legal.

i figured that... wasn't sure HOW much over the bar it was going to put me... Some guy that used to live in my area had a legit R34 that he somehow got here... he had it storage for like 5 years, brought it out for 3 days and it was gone... someone broke into his house, ransacked it looking for the keys, then stole it it...

sad sad day indeed...

There's some pretty big stuff that erupted earlier this month so I wouldn't advise anyone to try and ship anything JDM right now, especially a Skyline.
