95' Silvia Q's Drivers side window made weird noise now not working help.

Hi,

Recently my drivers side window stared making an oddd sound when I would wind it up or down.Now it's stuck.No noise, no movement.

I looked around on the forums, suggesting it was the window amp but I don't know where in the car door it is located.

To me it sounded like the window motor was under stress.

I hope someone knows the answer to this as I would like to repair this myself instead of getting some automotive elcetrician who will charge me the Earth.

Did it sound like it was taking forever or like a grinding noise? Odds are its the motor and regulator.....I work on Toyotas but we don't use cable set ups.....if its a cable system it will grind and if not it will work every so often. Best way to determine a motor is to tap on it with a hammer while trying to operate it......so far it seems like you should bite the bullet and get somewhere to check it out for you considering you called an Automotive Technician a Automotive Electrician lol. Price those out from Nissan if you don't wanna pay diagnostic to get it figured out and figure 2 hours for Diagnostic and fixing the window. Best of luck and I hope you got some direction if you want to DIY or shop way.
