i have a 95 se w/ 5spd and lsd. i really need some opinions guys. i just got my car back in one piece after getting in a wreck with some tourist. anyway, i was driving down the road that i live on and when i went to shift into 3rd it felt like i missed the gear. i put my foot back on the clutch a made sure that i had it in gear, and it felt like it was still in nuetral. i then shifted to 4th and it caught and drove fine. however 5th did the same thing. i managed to get it home in 4th. as i was downshifting coming up to my house, 1st and 2nd were bad also. so basically i only have 4th. the rest feel like there are only a 1/4 of the teeth on each gear. i don't know what the hell happened. any input would be great, cuz as of now im looking at $450 for a used trans 45mins away plus labor to put it in. swapped one once before and i'd rather just pay someone else to do it this time.

If you just got your car back, bring it back. What was the damage done to your car in the first place?

It sounds like your front main input shaft has fudged the bucket. I picked another transmission up at a local junk yard for like $150. The same thing happened to me when I was on my way to Atlanta to see a Butch Walker concert. I feel your pain man, truly.

Just becareful with junk yard anything. You have no idea how long that thing was sitting there and if the owners of the junkyard had it out of the elements. Chances are they didnt. It may be cheaper, but atleast if you get one from someone reputable, they usually have a X month or X mile warranty on it.

Me personally, when it comes to cars I find you get what you pay for. Just with that kind of pricetag make sure it looks decent or comes with some sort of warranty.
