I'm wondering if any of you have had this problem. Coming into a turn fast or slow either one. The powersteering is binding. Like it will turn smooth for half a turn then get hard and then easy and then totally lock and then start working. I haven't checked the full operation of the p/s system and test everything yet. I just finally picked up the car this weekend and it has a few things wrong I'm gonna start with. P/s fluid is a little dark so I was thinking maybe trash in the rack or... I have to find out what P/S pump is on the car, whether its from the RB or if its from the KA if thats even possible.

make sure u have enough clearense between the down pipe n the steering column shaft... if u dont when u turn the downpipe may be hitting causing it to bind..

I feel like a jacka$$ you hit it on the head, the steering column shaft in the engine bay is rubbing the o2 sensor housing on the turbo. I think I might have to either pull this engine and do a whole fab job or get the mckinney mounts because the more I look the more stuff doesn't look right. It would also help when i get a manual to know what is what.

dude if u got the car driving with no other issues, i would just make the 02 housing, leave the motor were it is n get the flanges that mount to the turbo n the exhaust or cut off ur existing onse n use them, bolt them on then go to the local muffler shop, get some bent tubing n fit it on there with enough clearense, tac it to were is not goin to move, then take then back off n weld it. problem solve.. thats what i did n it running fine... or u can just get the mckinney mounts n down pipe n drive shaft n pay out the @$$ for it..

Get Mckinney Mounts unless you want headaches down the road. I only say this from experience.
