Hey guys,
Im kinda in a bind here with my radiator situation. I need to buy a new one, but thats gotta hold off until I get my tax refund...so for the time being, I need some help.
A couple of weeks ago my car overheated on the way home, despite the frigid temperatures After popping the hood I came to the realization that I had a needle size hole in my radiator; fixed that problem with a little jb weld inside and outside the hole.
It overheated again a few days later and I found another problem...appearently the radiator enxtension where my hose clamps over got rusted and crumbled off in parts. The top part is there, but most of the bottom is missing. I essentially need to rig it until I buy a new one. I though about attaching a small piece of pvc pipe over the fitting and attaching my hose to that....assuming I could make it secure, I think that would work.
Do yall have any other ideas or advice? Will pvc pipe hold up for the next month or so, or should I use different material? Please let me know because I need to get this s*** fixed sometime this evening so I can make it to and from work without pulling over to fix my hose everytime I friggin drive somewhere.....
Thanks in advanceNatalie
