i have a 1995 240sx se with black leather, white gauges, factory CD & cassett player, with the whole exterior lip, 5 lug, wing, mud guards, and sunroof visor.... i am the second owner of this car, and the lady before me was 40 something years old. the only thing it dont have is abs and vlsd. so the 1995 does have black leather... i only seen one other 95-96 with the same options as i do...

Just because you have an "SE, white faced gauges" or whatever, doesn't mean that you have a VLSD. The white faced gauges came in all SE's, ABS and the VLSD were options. Just because you have ABS doesn't mean you have a VLSD and vice versa....

yea in canada all 95+ 240's were sold in SE and LE only. there was no base model. At least that's what i've come up with when I needed to figure out my own car.

Mine is a canadian model and is a base model. As for what archer said, someone could have put that emblem on. Mine came from the factory with no emblem (base), and when I bought it it had a GTR emblem haha. I took that off, and underneath that was glue from an SE emblem. There is also a 4 lug S14 locally that the guy is trying to sell as an SE.

Thats everything for you there.

and I think it's the 16th letter in the MIN (model #), if it's an A, you have a factory VLSD

And if you look through the driver's rear wheel, you should see an orange sticker about 1" x 3" (approx. guess) that says Viscous LSD in Black writing.

You're Welcome Haha

would five lugs on a 96 se mean you had a vlsd? or did they put the five lug hubs on open diffs as well?

This is insane...

This thread is almost completely useless....

Stop posting and start checking Vin#s and go online and check what you have...People claiming they have this and that when they have no idea what there car has is annoying.

VLSD and ABS come as a package and yet some one has a SE abs and no vlsd... WTF

I have never seen a 95 or 96 that was a LE. I have seen SE model fully loaded including leather. So it was like a LE. But as for being a true luxury edition with the badge on the rear.. I really don't think they made that until 97. Post a picture if I am wrong. Either way they all cam with mix matched options basically. What you should do is look at the model number in the door jam. That is basically a list of codes that will tell you what the factory color is and all of the options pretty much everything about the car. Hope that helped.

ok so like it was stated earlier 95-96 didn't come in LE in USA. i guess it came in LE in canada but who cares? haha jk.

so US: 95-96 SE coupe and coupe (base). vlsd/abs = factory option on EITHER trim models. my base has both. so just cause you have an SE DOES NOT mean you automatically have abs/vlsd and vise versa with the base. base could also have sunroof, spoiler, cd player, cruise control, power locks, etc. however, i've seen the base of the base models with the hubcaps that don't come with things like power locks, rear speakers, prob. no vlsd/abs, etc.
