95' S14 dohc into 92' S13 shell ?????????????????????

Oh first off Ive never done a swap so bare with me. ive searched around.found quite a bit of sohc to dohc swaps but i was having a bit of trouble findind a descriptive 95 dohc into a 92 dohc body. so If you guys can just help me out instead of hating on me i would really apprecite it. ok so my questions are.

1. will everything swap straight over if i have the ECU,engine harness,transmission and engine and what not??

2. Will the s13 cluster work with the newer 95 KA?

and last.......does anyone know what the part is called that connects the EGR tube to the header?? if so where can i find one, and how much??

OR do you guys know of any good threads that I couldnt find. I knw this has been covered but im not having luck finding what im lookin for.

ive never really researched the dohc to sohc ot s14 to s13 swap. but, iirc the s14 ka is OBDII and the s13 ka is OBDI.

i think you misunderstood...im throwing a 95' KA24DE into my S13 Ka24de hb.so i was wondering if it was just a straight swap over without any mods. cuz i have the s14 ecu,engine and transmission. so pretty much i just need electrical help. because i was thinkin theyre both dohc so what differences are there between the s13 and s14 ka. and will the s13 cluster work with the s14 ecu and engine harness. or would i have to use a s14 cluster?? oh and thanks for helping me out.

96 Ka24de are obd2 while 95 Ka's are obd1.

oh ok.....my bad bro.looks like i misunderstood you. so then could i just use any engine harness from a 91+ dohc on the 95 ka?? or plz enlighten me on what i need to do since i have the ecu for the 95 ka.i just dont have the ecu to engine harness cuz my friend needed it.

so then 96+ KA24DE are OBDll and the 91-95 KA24DE are OBDl right? so then back to my question, can i use a 92 dohc harness with the 95 engine and ECU?? sry for all the Q's ive never done a swap. but i honestly appreciate the help lol

If im not mistaken; its tha same motor, except it has a different exhaust setup(OBDII), different intake box, and ecu. As for tha tach, i wouldnt know sorry.

you were half right.

your going to have to use an 95 harness anyways..

yes 95 ka's are obd1,

your going to ahve to use the whole harness.. your going to need the s14 maf, and all the senors off the engine to make it work.. im sure some of them are interchange able.

ive have never done the swap myself. so i cant help you as much as i would like to.

ok so you pretty much answered my Q...i cant use the 92 harness cuz the 95 has a diferent ECU.........dang this is a bit confusing for a beginner lol. but thanks for everyone helping me out.

This is a really easy swap.

1. Take off your s13 ka24de intake,exhaust manifold 2. Take your s13 distributor.3. Install your s13 ka24de intake,exhaust manifold To your s14 ka24de4. Install your s13 distributor into your s14 ka24de

There now All you have to do is swap the newly revised s14 motor with your old broken s13 motor.

yea I know thats the easy way, the thing is I dont have the s13 engine or ECU =(. I bought just the shell. thats why i was gonna use the complete s14 ka. all i need is the harness.

A s14 harness isnt gonna work in a s13. It would be easier to get the s13 stuff.

one more question about the swap.......can i use the after market headers on the 95 ka?? instead of the s13 exhaust manifold?? those are the same right,sry i get confused on parts sometimes.my bad.

Just order a s13 ka24de header it will bolt right up
