I really like the brushed-finish, five-star OEM 17" rims from the 99-00 models and I can get them at a used hubcap store here in Maryland, reconditioned to look like new.

I assume the lug patterns are the same? Does anyone know of drawbacks to my putting these rims on a 95Q? What tires should go on these?

Plus, is there somewhere else I might find these for a cheaper price than the store?

Other than making sure the wheels you pick have a machined lip for clip on inner and outer weights to avoid the constant use of adhesive weights and the problems they cause.

Q45tech, I'm assuming that all the OEMs in late model Qs meet this requirement?

They'll be fine, the ideal tire size is 245/45/17. Lots of choices in that size. Stick with a high speed rating and a load rating at or over 95.

Those rims are among the most sought-after for swapping onto early Q's. I have the 16" standard (non-touring) rims.

Mind if I ask how much?

250 apiece for the 17s. I think it's a good price compared to the 800 apiece the local dealer wants, but I may be able to get used ones cheaper somewhere else, I don't know.

Call Joe at Scottsdale. He usually has some nice prices on take-offs and he's VERY generous to NICO members.

$250 each? That's a little high.

There's a set of chrome ones on eBay for $900. I love 'em.

Should we be remembering the recall on the 00 wheel?
