95 Q45, No cruise control

I'm getting ready to find out what is wrong with my cruise control and was reading the shop manual about a "CONSULT" computer to check the ASCD. Does anyone know what this is and is it a purchasable tool. The manual also refers to an N & P relay. What is this.

A consult is the dealership scan tool, you wont be able to buy one (if you can find one) for under a few grand.... Yes, thats $X,000!

You can diagnose and repair pretty much any problem without a consult it just takes more effort...

So tell me, what is your Q doing...? After turning the cruise control on using the switch on the dash, does the CC not set properly? Does the light ever blink?

Do you have a remote start installed?
