The knock sensors aren't difficult. It is just getting there and having all the hoses readily available to be replaced. Also the plugs, gaskets, and the assortment. This is not just a replace the failed part but more of an overhaul to ensure you don't have to get back under the plenum anytime soon. Really depends on what you want to get out of this car. If you have a separate car tackle the plenum job. Do it right and expect another 200k miles other than suspension. Its a good educational experience to boot.

Keep in mind is it in great shape interior/exterior and something that you see yourself keeping up with? Or is it something you only want a year or two out of and off to the scrap yard.

Bad knock sensors will reduce engine power somewhat, but they don't suddenly limit your max speed to 45 MPH.

What else is going on?
