Make sure you replace all of the associated rubber parts with the springs and shocks. (Bump Stops, Boots, etc)

Is the gap differential there with the standard weight driver [160 pounds] sitting in the drivers seat?

Check the Tension Rods. They are filled with some gel, like the motor mounts, so it should be easy to see if they are leaking. Mine were cracked, and gooey, on the Silver car. I have not checked, but went ahead and ordered new ones, for the Black car. Another source for clunking, is the sway bar. the bushings are about $30, from Joe

Measure the weight on each wheel and individual spring stiffness at compression. Only two things that can change ride height.

If springs are accurate within +- 3% a 16" free spring compressed to 8" with 146 lb/inch [total 1168 pounds of load]front spring means a +- 0.25" ride height variation.

Back to 225 pound driver, thats 65 pounds over design weight so roughly 32 pounds split between front and rear springs 32/146= 0.22 inches on left front; 0.26" on left rear spring. Actually a little less since some weight [about 15-20%] is transfer to otherside.

If the Infiniti springs are variable rate (and I think the are), then, the height difference could be even less than what Dennis says.

-This coming from a 250# driver.

I would check the adjustment on the tension rods, and look at the sway bar, as well. If you have one side adjusted a little tighter, it could be transferring some load to the opposite side, and messing up your ride height.

Was the adjustable tension rods worth it? I have always thought the factory ones resistes twisting, and helped with cornering on rough surfaces. I have almost bought them, on several occasions, myself.

The best thing, I think, would be to put the car on 4 separate scales, and adjust the tension rods and sway bar, to achieve the perfect balance of weight, with the driver in. Of course, after you install the Eibachs, Tokikos, and dust boots.

I know, because I used to be the same weight as my driver, and "He was to valuable to sit in the driver's seat for 8 to 10 hours, while we set-up the race car" Usually it was the last 8 hours before we left for the race track. The good thing was, once we got the Caster/Camber set, I could sleep in the car, unless some smarta$$ kept banging on the car, and we had several, on the race team.

You know, the dust boots have built-in bump stops. Mine, on the Silver car were shot, completely. This could be affecting the ride hight, I think.
