Ok, just bought my 4th first generation Q. Very clean car with a complete set of service records. Shows 92000 on the odometer but the odometer seems to stick every so often when the last digit is 9. Do I need to replace the head on this? The trip odometers seem to be operating just fine. Odd that there is no mention of it in the Dealer Service Record where all the service has been performed. This is probably a recent problem since the car runs and looks like about a 100k car. My last two were both going strong at 250k (Before wrecked, rearended once and brain fart the second time).

My '95's did that at 139,999. The next day and maybe a hundred miles later it magically fixed itself. That was 4 or 5 months ago. Maybe yours will do the same.

Ok to further clarify what this odometer is doing.... When I first drive the car in the mornings it works for about 7 or 8 miles then stops and does not work for the rest of the day (warm??) I am beginning to suspect something electronic not mechanical (the odometer itself) any Ideas???? Help! This car has more gremlins than any I have owned so far. Think it might be haunted??
