i recently replaced the inhibitor relay on the trans ( its automatic) car wasnt starting... when i went to sart the car after installing the switch it started but was in reverse, almost hit my moms car lol. went back to try to adjust the shifter on the side of the trans and now i cant get into any gear.. somone at work sadi u need to drop the pan and realign it form inside the trans. so my question is: is that what needs to be done or is there an easier fix?

No, you don't need to remove the pan. The inhibitor switch should be externally accessible. Page AT-71 shows its location.

i got the inhibitor on no problem but i moved the manuel selector ( the one that actually go into the trans) and now it doesnt click through the gears, it has like half an inch of play in it and thats it.. basically the shifter on the trans wont move anymore. i dont think the problem has anything to do with the inhibitor.
