if you are looking for a gently used pre-owned MAF sensor good luck. please get two and i will pay an upcharge. seriously though, how have you determined you need to replace w/another? a $100.00+ roll of the dice might work. however it may be possible to repair what you have. a little more info will yield greater response.

GLUK!

roll of the dice? ya i guess a stored maf dtc is a "roll of the dice" part replacement.

Yup, OBD I is stupid. Not necessarily the part referenced in the code is bad. Have to know the dependencies.

You can also check with http://www.car-part.com "Air Flow Meter"

But seriously, pull the MAF connector and clean it up first. It's usually the connector, not the MAF itself.

If it's the actual MAF, often you can resolder a broken internal connection on the circuit board.

it wasn't really an online diag thread i'm not asking for diag help i was just asking if anyone has a good working maf. I appreciate the help though, my driveability problems are: my mil will illuminate intermittently, when it does the vehicle will stumble and stall big time, it wont idle most of the time when the mil is on, it'll just die, i have to throw it back into neutral, start it, rev it to keep it alive and let the idle catch and then put it back in drive and take off. it only dies when i'm off the throttle, however, it will go into fail safe mode often where the rpms stay right around 2k and it rapidly fluctuates between 2000 and 24000 rpm like an idle surge even though i'm steady on the throttle. To solve that i have to let off for a second and try and get back on it, if it does it again i have to keep getting off the gas and trying again. Another thing it does is sometimes when i'm on the freeway it will just cut power completely, my foot will be to the floor and its basically like you shut the car off, it just coasts for a few seconds(usually between 2-4 seconds) and then it will come back alive and have power again. it doesn't have a constant mil its just an intermittent one like a misfire it will only illuminate when its acting up. When we check for dtcs it has a knock sensor code, egr code, and a way more recent maf code.
