Does anybody know of a vendor I could buy ALL bushings for the rear suspension
I was hoping it might be a kit for all of them (rather than me having to measure a bushing for them)
including the;

Lateral Rod
Lateral Link
"Leaf" bushings for the axle assembly

Also if you know the measurements and you got them piecemeal from several vendors it would
help if you could provide those. Any direction on removing or installing these parts are welcome.

Thanks,

I am having various degrees of success locating rear suspension parts

Looks like Nissan offers OEM Lateral Rod and the Lateral Link
but does not sell bushings at all. The total cost for these parts is about
$125 so I am not too worried about that.

If you want a axle assembly its around
$500 and all you get is a beam with trailing arms.(no thanks)

The only place I can find Trailing arm bushings is Energy Suspensions Inc. At least
their catalog says they have them.

Energy Suspensions also has supplies for you to "pour your own" polypropylene bushings
with various degrees of hardness of the bushing material. This could be another option
for a repair. I would not look forward to taking off the axle assembly to do this however
(which is what they recommend although you might be able to pour and fix with the axle
on the vehicle ??)

My plan at this point is to remove the struts and jack up the rear beam to remove the
Lateral Rod and Lateral Link and put OEM on. If it have to remove the trailing arms
to do these I will probably tear up the trailing arm bushings so I will plan having the bushings on hand
if I can get them (They say the gottem in stock). Also my reading in Chiltons partially confirms
you don't have to remove the axle to replace these parts.

There appears to be a requirement that the lateral rod be horizontal with the axle so I
will try to cope with that.

I would appreciate any feedback on this project.

I went to Courtesy and picked up the new lateral link and lateral rod
I looked at the new lateral link bushing and noticed it was different than most bushings I have seen before
Most bushing have the rubber completely filling in the hole except where the shaft might go
But this new bushing had a partial fill so my thought that my bushing was worn out was false
I compared other items on the rear suspension to the new parts and I came to the conclusion
I just didn't need them and returned them.

Again the bushing on the lateral link closest to the rear passenger wheel is just partially full of rubber when it is new
so don't think rubber has fallen out-weird deal :werd:
