Okay, So my boyfriend drove my car through the automatic carwash and forgot to put the antenna down. The antenna is the electric one and not very flexible. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? I like the electric part.

Thanks

My wife did the same thing in our 95. We ended up getting one from the dealer. Parts and labor was over $300. Never had another issue with it though.

Metra offers a universal for around $60. Not the best looking thing, but it will save you money. You could also (have your boyfriend) go to Pull-A-Part in Lafayette and get one from there. They have four 1995 year model Maximas.

Part Name = ANTENNA ( POWER)

Standard As-Is Price = $8.92 With Warranty Add = $1.58

With Core Charge Add = $1.02

$11.52 plus tax and $1.00 entry fee. So, less than $15. There are a couple of options.

A word of advice: the dealer price for the power antenna replacement might be steep but it's absolutely worth it. I replaced the power antenna on my Maxima with a cheap non-retractable one and definitely wish I hadn't.

Pull-a-part is another option but odds are pretty high you'll end up with yet another broken one. The failure rate on these things was pretty high.

I think I paid $45 for one at Courtesy Nissan, Richardson TX

It was not hard to install, but you really need 2 people in my opinion

Very good link! Just be careful when loosening the nut so as not to scratch the car paint. Better use a rag around the mast during R&R.
