95' Maxima sunroof problem

( 95' maxima)The sunroof will not close anymore without manual force.At first it would not fully close without leaving a gap at the rear or lift up.Now the cables have snapped and wont move at all without manual force but the motor still works.I cant find any how-to manuals on this.Any help is appreciated.

I had a similar problem except the cable pulled itself out of the bracket on the right side and the only way to get to it is pull the headliner out which is a pain in the a**.

What exactly are you wanting to do? For just about anything your going to have to pull off the headliner.

i really want the rundown on how to fix it all without having the dealer empty my wallet.I noticed that the cable broke so would i have to get a new one? or can I put the old one back in place?There is a gap in the sunroof and Im concerned about water running in and damaging the headliner.I found this site>http://www.sunroofdoctor.com/?OVRAW=sun ... 4960715522

It supplied the cable and arm set for 138 bucks.Would this be my answer?

Well as far as the rundown try getting a haynes manual(look through it first to make sure) from an Advaced autoand see what it says on removing the headliner.Its really hard for me to describe how to do it cause there is so much involved.

And for the cable set as long as your sure that they are snaped then that should fix them.

The only other thing i can say is get some friends to help you, that'll make it so much easier and quicker. I did it myself and it is very hard to do alone.

Last thing if the Haynes manual doesnt have it let me know and ill write out everything i did
