i am a long time nico club member, but this is my first post. my 95 maxima has starting problems when it has been sitting out in the sun. the issue has nothing to do with engie temp. when it is hot outside and the car has sat in the sun for a while it doesn't want to start. when you turn the key, it is as if the battery was dead. no click, nothing. i have replaced the battery, cleaned the battery terminals and connectors, replaced the starter and starter solinoid. i thought it might be the starter relay, however, i haven't been able to track one down yet to try. not even the two local nissan dealers have a starter relay. has anyone else encountered this problem? any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

auto or manual? auto could be the neutral safety switch--try starting it in 'neutral', or while holding the shifter against the park stop, or pulling it back toward reverse.

if manual, could be the clutch interlock.

both of these suggestions are moot if the idiot lights dim when you turn the key, but ima guess they are stayin bright.
