95 Maxima 180K+ miles

My parents bought me a 1995 Nissan Maxima for my 17th birthday. My father drove it home and said that the only thing he found wrong with it was that the transmission sometimes skips.

So I went and attepted to start the car, it started and began idleing. After about 30 seconds of straight idleing it began so increase and decrease the idle.

After dying 2 times it would not start, we checked the fuses and found 1 was not all the way inserted. After inserting the fuse the car starts, and idles fine.

It is only now whenever we give it gas while it is idleing the car will die. Any Ideas?
