95 ka24de injector 4 not working????help!!!!

Okay so my engine is shaking and smoking, smells like gas. So I unplug each injector and it gets worse but #4 stays the same when unplugged. I buy a brand new injector for #4 injector and it runs fine for a few miles then same issue. I'm getting spark in all spark plug wires. Compression is 180 across. Timing is tdc. Swapped ecu and still the same. Checked voltage on all injector harness and it's at 12-13 volts. Swapped injectors around and it's still just #4 injector?

What else could it be? Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

that sounds like a huge pain in the rear end (front end?). This may sound obvious, but did you look inside the fuel rail, where the #4 injector sits? When you say you swapped injectors around, did the one that previously didn't work (originally from Cyl #4) started working in a different cylinder? Is the insulator/ o ring getting mashed inside there and covering up the injector somehow?

I hope this helps, but I really don't know what the problem could be
