I have just recently replaced my front oil seal all gently and used gasket sealer the right way...It did fix my oil leak problem for about 6 weeks, it just started leaking again. While i was down at the oil seal seat where it seats, i see a small hole, I've seen this hole before right behind the seal..Is this hole there to let you know if you have a bad oil pump going bad. I know the water pump has hole where the plug falls out and water sprays everywhere, my question is, is that hole there on the oil seat to let you know your oil pump is going out and lets oil seep through the seal?

No its to help lubricate the area. I would be more suspicious of your front cover leaking, but also on your crank pully where it goes inside the seal was there a deep groove. If there was you would have the leak return as the seal is not making good contact there. What I usually do if the pulley is grooved is to not bottom the seal out when I install it. I stop about 1 to 2 mm before it rests in its original seating position. This effectively moves the lip og the seal out a bit on the pully mating surface.
